About Mrs Accessories

A US guide to women’s accessories, written by Maggi Ferguson.

Mrs Accessories exists because accessories are the cheapest way to change how an outfit reads, and because most of the advice about them is either aimed at people shopping at Bergdorf or is a list of links with nothing said about them.

What we do. We read the collections and the fashion press, we work out which trends have actually arrived and which are still on a runway, and we say plainly which is which. Then we show what Amazon is selling in that shape, at prices ordinary people pay, and we tell you what to look for and what usually goes wrong.

Who writes it. Maggi Ferguson. She reads the collections and the shopping pages so you do not have to, and she is more interested in what an accessory does for an outfit you already own than in what it cost.

What we do not do. We have not handled, worn or tested any of the products we link to, and we do not pretend otherwise — how we work sets out exactly what that means. We do not run star ratings, because the product data we receive does not include reliable ones and inventing them would be worse than having none. And we do not name a trend without saying where we read about it; every trend page carries its sources.

How it is paid for. Amazon affiliate commission. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. That does not change what we recommend, but you are entitled to know it before you read anything else.
