What ring did Taylor Swift wear at the VMAs?

A 4.56-carat natural diamond ring by Greek designer Etho Maria on her left hand, worn alongside her engagement ring, and the Forever Diamonds Royale ring on her right. Both are antique-style bands rather than single stones.

At the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards she wore two new rings, and the interesting thing about both is that they are bands rather than solitaires.

What they were. On the left hand, a 4.56-carat natural diamond ring by the Greek designer Etho Maria, worn stacked with her existing engagement ring. On the right, the Forever Diamonds Royale ring, which carries six different stones across two bands. Marie Claire had jewelers analyze the pairing afterwards, which tells you how closely this kind of thing is read.

Why a band rather than one big stone. A graduated row of antique-cut diamonds produces a continuous line of light rather than a single flash. It photographs better from a distance, it sits flat against a neighboring ring instead of fighting it, and it does not catch on fabric the way a raised solitaire does. That last point is why bands are the sensible everyday shape for anyone.

The copyable idea. Stacking works when the rings share a metal tone and differ in scale — one with presence, one quiet. Two rings of similar size on the same finger read as indecision. And if you are buying a band to stack with something you already own, check the profile height: a flat or low band sits against another ring, while a domed one leaves a gap and rocks.
